Alexandria, Minn.– The Alexandria Education Foundation (AEF) has hired Kelly Doss as its new executive director. 
As the executive director, Doss will be responsible for overseeing the Foundation, the organization’s programs, and its strategic plan. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. She will report directly to the AEF board of directors.
Doss, a 1997 Jefferson Senior High School graduate, most recently served as the vice president of development at Great River Children’s Museum in St. Cloud. Before her role at the museum, she was the director of development at Central MN Mental Health Center. Through these roles and others, Doss brings several years of experience in fund development, strategic planning, and community building.
Doss officially stepped into the leadership role on December 1, stating, “I am honored to join the Alexandria Education Foundation as its next Executive Director. I grew up in Alexandria, and I am looking forward to working with the Board and community partners to help fund and support unique learning initiatives that advance the educational goals of Alexandria Public Schools”.
Doss earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology from St. Cloud State University and obtained a Master’s degree in Politics from the University of Dallas. Her leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively are evident through her volunteer activities on various boards and committees.
