The Alexandria Education Foundation (AEF) has made the decision to postpone the 2020 Hall of Fame. Given the current restrictions on large gatherings and the heightened health risk of COVID-19 the Board of Directors felt it was in the best interest for all to not hold a large gathering this September.
Additionally, the Board is committed to giving proper recognition and honor to each of the Hall of Fame inductees who were selected this past May. The AEF Board is looking forward to celebrating these inductees in September 2021: DeWayne Bisek, Class of 1957, Dr. Daniel Suchy, Class of 1961 and Mari Leuthner, Class of 1971.
Foundation annual events, like the Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon, are supported by generous business sponsors who have maintained their commitments despite the cancellation of the luncheon. Proceeds from Foundation events go to the core work of AEF – providing grants that enhance education in Alexandria Public Schools. Thank you to the following organizations for their ongoing support:

The Hall of Fame recognizes and honors the accomplishments of alumni – graduates, or any staff or faculty member – who have earned distinction or achievement in their chosen field. Anyone may submit a nomination and the AEF Board of Directors will make honoree selections based on select criteria.
