The Alexandria Education Foundation supports the classrooms and students of Alexandria Public Schools by providing them with learning opportunities that are beyond the boundaries of the district’s budget. Last year alone, $30,000 in teacher requested grants were funded. We had requests for nearly $75,000! Some projects funded last year included hands-on literacy centers for kindergarten students, health application manikin lab expansion, iPads, media production equipment, and math graphing calculators.Annually, AEF participates in GiveMN’s “Give to the Max Day” as a means to enhance our fundraising. Give MN and Give to the Max Day (November 12) is a day to come together and show support for non-profit organizations that strengthen our schools and communities.
